Galvalume Coils

Aluzinc steel coils

Galvalume Coils

Galvalume products ( GL) use cold rolled steel sheets with various strengths and thicknesses as the raw materials and are coated with aluminum (Al 55%), zinc (Zn 43.5%) and silicon (Si 1.5%) alloy. It possesses excellent anti-corrosion properties. Product Features: Derived from hot-dip aluminum galvanization and hot-dip zinc galvanization technology, Galvalume products possess excellent properties of both products, i.e. the exceptional anti-corrosion and anti-oxidation properties of hot-dip aluminum galvanization, and superior electric-chemical properties of hot-dip zinc galvanization, which make Galvalume sheets less prone to rust and corrosion at the edge and on the scratched surface.

Design & Size

What are the Characteristics of the Galvalume steel coil?
Because it is produced through applying Al-Zn coat on both faces by hot dip process. It enjoys both the physical protective feature and durability of Al and the electrochemical protective property of Zn.
>>Machinability: It can satisfy the processing requirements of rolling, coiling and others processes alike.
>>Thermal resistance: Common HDG steel plate normally works under 230℃, and has its color changed at 250℃, however, Galvalume steel plate can sustain the environment at 315℃ for long time.
>>High reflectivity: Reflection ability of heat and light is twice as much as those of hot-dip zinc steel sheet, and its reflectivity is more than 0.70, which is an ideal construction materials of saving energy.

Zinc Coated:With the cold-rolled steel of different strengths and thickness as substrate. it is produced by applying the zine coat on both faces by hot-dip process.

FAQ

What is the difference between GI and GL steel coils?

GI coils use pure zinc coating, while GL coils use aluminum-zinc alloy coating with better corrosion resistance and heat reflectivity.

What does AZ150 mean in galvalume steel?

AZ150 refers to the aluminum-zinc coating weight of 150g/m².

Can galvalume steel be painted?

Yes. Galvalume coils are widely used as the substrate for PPGL color coated steel coils.

Is galvalume suitable for coastal areas?

Yes. GL steel coils perform much better than galvanized steel in coastal and humid environments.

What is your MOQ?

Usually 1x20GP container, but mixed specifications are negotiable.

Do you provide free samples?

Yes, free samples are available. Courier charges are collected initially and can be deducted from future orders.
